How to pay Property Tax in Navi Mumbai
Being a planned city, navi Mumbai is the part of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Various educational institutions, health care centers and hospitals are located here. The municipal corporation is working on its infrastructural development. It collects Property tax from the Property owners to contribute towards the infrastructural development like maintenance of roads, sewage and drainage treatment, etc.
Nowadays, the payment of property tax has been made easier. You can now pay the property tax online. The process for payment of Property tax is as follows:
Online Process
| STEP 1: Visit the site https://www.nmmc.gov.in/property-tax2. |
| STEP 2: It’ll ask you for the property code. If you know the property code, it becomes easy. You have to enter the property code and click on search. |
| STEP 3: You’ll see the property details and the outstanding amount. |
| STEP 4: Click on “Pay Online” |
| STEP 5: Select the payment gateway option and agree to the terms and conditions after reading it carefully. |
| STEP 6: Select the Bank and make the payment. *NOTE- After payment, it’ll take 3 days to reflect the outstanding amount zero or the balance amount. |
In case you do not know the property code, there is a property search option on the left side of the site mentioned in STEP 1. A new page will open where you have to enter:
- Ward
- Sector and plot (This option makes it easy to search for the property code)
Now click on search and you’ll get the various options. Select your property and note the property code for future reference. Since you know the property code, you can now follow the above-mentioned steps to pay the property tax.
**NOTE: If you want to pay Property tax offline, you can visit the nearest citizen facilitation center or Municipal corporation or any authorized bank branches like Bank of Maharashtra, Cosmos, etc.
