Visiting centre for biometric

An Aadhaar OCI card applicant must visit the Aadhaar Enrollment Center to complete the biometric process. The necessary steps are as follows:

  1. The applicant’s ten fingers and two irises are scanned by UIDAI officials and the records are kept in government documents.
  2. The applicant’s photo is taken with the help of the registry office’s webcam. The same photo will also be uploaded to the Aadhaar card.

The database will generate a unique ID to prevent two Aadhaar cards from being identical in case a duplicate application exists in the government database. Once the registration process is completed, the authorities will take the demographic and biometric data to generate the Aadhaar number and send a hard copy to your address.
