How it Works?

Step 01

The owner or tenant contacts Housewise by uploading the final draft of the agreement or sending an email to sales@housewise.in with the final draft agreement. If you don’t have a draft, you can download a template from “here” and create your own draft. Only 11 months or less are allowed in the online rent agreement.

If you are not able to create the draft, contact us via our website, email, call/WhatsApp and send us the following details –

Step 03

Housewise confirms the receipt of all details and readiness to start the online rent agreement.

The owner then makes the payment of the fees online.

Step 05

Housewise prepares the rent agreement on e-Stamp paper and sends the rent agreement to the owner, tenant, and witness for an online signature.

Step 06

Property Owner, tenant, witnesses e-sign via the process explained in an email.

Step 07

Once the online rent agreement is e-signed by all parties, the e-signed agreement as well as the certificate of signing with complete blockchain is shared with both the owner and the tenant.

For Non-Maharashtra, the total cost of e-stamp, e-sign and GST will be:

For Maharashtra, charges are variable for every customer as the process is not 100% online.

How much time does it take for the complete online rent agreement process?

Once you send the final draft agreement, Housewise will send the agreement for Digital Signature the same day. As soon as all the parties sign digitally, you will receive the agreement as well as the certificate of signature.

What is the value of the certificate of signature?

Certificate gives irrefutable evidence of signing. Every signature records the Timestamp, the IP address, the device type, the browser version, latitude, and longitude. Each step of the process is stored on Blockchain.

How secure is the whole online rent agreement process?

The e-signature process securely authenticates signers, offers a range of signature types for signing, and protects the signed document from tampering. The signature certificate provides irrefutable evidence of signing. Physical papers and signatures are more susceptible to tampering and fraud.
